IceFyre Web Services

Starting 10:30 am on Sunday, February 20th we will be doing some maintenance on our file storage system. During this time some FTP accounts may be inaccessible. The downtime is expected to last about 30 minutes to an hour.

We have made some major changes to the IceFyre network. We now have a separate site for hosting and billing. We also have a new account management panel. The new site is www.icefyre-hosting.com The new site is still a work in progress but will be fully functional soon. We will also be transitioning this site and all subdomians to the www.icefyre.net domain. We also be using this site for network news and multimedia such as our podcast and blogs.

We have recently made some changes to the site. All of our service pages are now separate from the user interaction menus, and our information pages are now in the primary links menu. We have also deployed two new services, FTP web based file storage and the IceFyre Cloud. The cloud is powered by EyeOS and users can sign up for thier own cloud desktop or could based file storage trough eyeos or FTP.

We now have all major services back up including both Minecraft servers.

If you have a VPS or dedicated server with us, we will be emailing you the new SSH and FTP addresses.

We will have a network wide downtime on 1/28/12 from 11:30 am as we configure some network infrastructure. IRC will not be affected by this downtime. We are uncertain at this point, how long the downtime will last, however we expect all services to be online by this afternoon. We will post an update when the downtime is over.

Crafftbukket 1.1 has been deployed on the Multiplicity Test Server! REMEMBER: Only the test server is currently running 1.1 You will still need your 1.0 client to access the live server.

We have not yet released a 1.1 client however, we will most likely release it by the end of the week.

We have setup a new webmail system for the network. All existing @icefyre.org addresses will continue to work until April 1st, after which we will be disabling the old system and using the new one for everything. We have added new accounts for every existing user and emailed a temporary password to their icefyre.org email address. Please begin to move your email by forwarding it to the new address, and make sure to change your email address in everything you have signed up for with it. After April 1st, the @icefyre.org addresses will cease to work, although you will still be able to login to them for archival purposes.

We have made some address changes on the IceFyre Network. The new forums address is forums.icefyre.org

We are starting up a ShoutCAST radio station now that we have more servers and the network speed has been upgraded. However, we need people to DJ the station while the staff can't. We are working on getting an autodj to play songs 24/7, but it will be a few weeks before that is ready. If anyone is interested, please email support@icefyre.org with the times you can DJ.

We are working on finding a good 1-800 number that we can use between all the staff. However, it is taking longer than expected to find what we need. In the meantime, we have another phone number for you to use. It is not toll free, though, so only call it if you can make long distance calls. The number is (706) 341-3973. It can recieve both calls and text messages.
